Accredited Surety and Casualty Company, Inc., a Florida domiciled company founded in 1971, was acquired by R&Q in November 2014. Today, the company is a leading solution for Admitted Program Management and Legacy Acquisition business across the United States.
With the 2020 launch of the Arizona domiciled property and casualty excess and surplus lines insurer, Accredited Specialty Insurance Company, Accredited America now offers comprehensive Program Management solutions nationwide. Underpinning Accredited’s growth in the US is an underwriting focus, deep expertise and a commitment to transparency and service.
Accredited Europe
Accredited Insurance (Europe) Ltd. is a Maltese based insurance company founded in 2013 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of R&Q. Trading as R&Q Accredited Europe, we provide insurance capacity to Managing General Agents (MGAs) we partner with across the UK and Europe, who distribute insurance policies to policyholders on our behalf.
We are regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) and are authorised to write all non-life classes of insurance across the European Economic Area. We have offices in Malta, Italy and in the UK, with an array of multi-lingual staff in each office. Through our UK branch we are able to offer a Brexit solution to all UK and European based MGAs.
Accredited Insurance (Europe) Ltd. maintains a financial strength rating of A- by A.M. Best.
R&Q is a non-life global specialty insurance company operating two core, highly complementary, businesses: Program Management and Legacy Insurance. Both these businesses are leaders in markets with high barriers to entry and significant growth opportunities. Legacy Insurance generates profits and capital extractions from expert management of legacy no-life insurance portfolios. Program Management generates commission income from its licensed (and rated) carriers in the US, EU and the UK, writing niche and profitable program business, largely on behalf of highly rated reinsurers.
